Out of the blue, about 10 minutes ago, Gus just up and walked across the room. Not a wobbly first step, but a bee line.

Apparently this was Gus’s second word. I haven’t heard it yet but he was carrying a rubber one around for most of the morning. Grandpa is also morphing from ‘dada’ to more of a ‘gha’.
Oh and he suddenly has three new back teeth. Gus, that is, not Grandpa.

A big day
Today…
…Gus got stung by a wasp. On his upper lip. A yelp, a short cry and no swelling.
…He started calling me Mama in addition to Dada.
…He didn’t hate us or act clingy after spending yesterday evening with the Nanny (where he cried when we left him)
…He said his first word: banana. Like with real intention.
