Second stop

Amanda threatened to make me go for a run so we hit the road in the morning and headed for Corvallis. After showing us around her garden, Aunt Lani took us on a walk in her neighborhood which ended up on a boardwalk tour through wetlands.

It was beautiful. A community project full of the sound of dozens of different types of birds.

Gus kept trying to play in the water on either side of the walk and we kept stopping him. So at on point he slyly says to Charles: “go away dada”
Charles says: “why”
And Gus says: “so I can paddle in the water”
Not as tricky as he thought he was being.

We had yummy Indian food for dinner, great talks and waffles for breakfast before we hit the road the next morning. Always great to visit Grantie Lani.
