7000 Days

One big 2 hour nap per day now. Usually in the pram on the way home from the coffee shop. (looks good, hu?)

Just finished a great curry & rice and are now working on the mango ice cream (also a first)

Gus and I hopped in the car to Corvallis today. First to celebrate Elysa’s baptism with Isis and family.

And then a lovely romp through Grantie Lani’s yard oasis.

At the cafe sucking up the Internet for a few minutes. No power or water due to big fire on the edge of Mosier. Luckily, we’re on the opposite side but have the cars packed with photos just in case. Very strange to have to go through and pick the most important stuff.

So this is now week two of full time Gus for me. And I love it but am still having the odd freak-out about not getting more stuff done. I’m so used to being able to clear my entire schedule and concentrate on what ever I’m working on for days at a time. Can’t do that anymore so I need to find new strategies.

In the meantime, we’ve gone to story time 3 days in a row this week. They’re held at the different libraries and have singing and story reading and a bit of dancing at the end. Good stuff.

Today Gus sat up front and helped out.

And later we went for a walk in orchard. He always eats huge amounts of peach & tomato, so we just kept his bib on him this time.

Worked a charm.
