Are you going to introduce Gus to Santa, this year, or any year?
Well, this year he already has his two front teeth, so maybe next year. Although this seems to have opened up a topic between Charles and I…
I say yes to Santa Claus. I still believe in SC, or at least the sappy giving spirit of “him” or it. I don’t think of it as connected to religion or the gift giving industry. I think it’s a great excuse to get together with friends and family, whether or not you exchange gifts. I suppose some would say you don’t need a fictional person to do all of that, but to me SC embodies that spirit and I think gives kids something to aspire to.
I don’t really care either way. I just think it is a fun little thing for kids. AND he wouldn’t have the burden of having to keep it a secret from all the other kids his age and younger.
I say no to Santa Claus. It is important to remove a sense of magic and possiblity in a child’s life as soon as possible.
